What We Believe

Statement of Faith

No compromise. No apology. This is what Pure Grit Faith stands on.

We Believe…

In God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

The one true God, maker of heaven and earth, existing in three persons yet one in essence.

Genesis 1:1 • Matthew 28:19 • John 10:30

In the Authority and Inerrancy of Scripture

We believe the Bible (Old and New Testament) is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and is the final authority for faith and life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 • 2 Peter 1:20-21

In Salvation Through Jesus Christ Alone

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ -- His life, death, and resurrection. No works can earn it.

Ephesians 2:8-9 • Romans 10:9-10 • Acts 4:12

In the Reality of Spiritual Warfare

We believe in the existence of Satan and demonic forces, and we are called to stand firm in faith using the full armor of God.

Ephesians 6:10-18 • 1 Peter 5:8

In the Power and Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer, empowering them to live for God and equipping them with gifts for the building up of the Church.

1 Corinthians 12 • Acts 1:8 • Romans 8:11

In the Great Commission

We are called to make disciples of all nations, boldly sharing the Gospel without shame.

Matthew 28:18-20 • Romans 1:16

In the Return of Jesus Christ

We believe in the literal, physical, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal kingdom.

Revelation 19:11-16 • 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

In the Resurrection and Eternal Life

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people -- believers to eternal life with God, and unbelievers to eternal separation from Him.

John 5:28-29 • Revelation 20:11-15

In the Church as the Body of Christ

We believe the Church is the family of all true believers, called to love one another, grow together, and advance the Kingdom of God.

Ephesians 4:11-16 • Hebrews 10:24-25

In the Dignity of Every Human Life

We believe every person is made in the image of God and has inherent worth and dignity. We stand for life from conception to natural death.

Genesis 1:27 • Psalm 139:13-16

In Biblical Marriage and Sexuality

We believe marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexuality is a gift from God to be expressed within that covenant.

Genesis 2:24 • Matthew 19:4-6

In Prayer as a Weapon and a Conversation

We believe in the power of prayer and that God hears and answers the prayers of His people.

Philippians 4:6-7 • James 5:16 • Matthew 7:7-8

"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me."
