Pure Grit Faith was not started by someone who bought a print shop and went looking for a Christian niche to fill. The order matters, and it is the opposite of what most brands in this space can claim.
The founder was a drug user, an alcoholic and a womanizer who was radically changed by Jesus Christ. Not cleaned up. Not improved. Changed — the kind that only happens when the living God takes hold of a man with nothing left to offer Him.
He has been tattooing for more than thirty years and leading mission teams for more than twenty. Mexico. Colombia. Romania. Russia. Burkina Faso. Maximum security prisons here and overseas. A feeding program he started, and ten years of walking the woodline and the railroad tracks to sit with people living there.
That is why the artwork looks the way it does. Nobody borrowed this aesthetic to sell shirts. The ink was already there.
